  4. The HP 9000 Series 700 FAX is a computer based client/server FAX
  5. software  product that gives the Series 700 and the 700/RX X Stations
  6. comprehensive FAX  functionality. Workstation networks can now
  7. interface with FAX networks.

  59. The Series 700 FAX product is designed for a client server
  60. environment. A  central server can be administered locally while
  61. remote clients have full  access to all the capabilities provided.
  62. Reports can be utilized for  appropriate billing of all charges.

  64. Incoming Routing
  65.  
  66. Incoming routing allows faxes to be delivered to your workstation or
  67. wherever  you are. Through the use of barcodes or Call Station
  68. Identification (CSI) your  fax is sent directly to you. Confidential
  69. material is no longer sitting at the  fax machine for all to see. If
  70. you are away from your desk but near a fax  machine you can have all
  71. your FAXes forwarded automatically.

  73. Supported Platforms: All Series 700 Workstations, Servers, and HP
  74. 700/RX X  Stations
  75.  
  76. Access to the FAX capabilities are allowed to any workstation on the
  77. network by  using standard X windows capabilities, to PCs through X or
  78. the email and  printer interfaces, and to ASCII terminals thru the
  79. email and printer  interface. Messages can be mailed or printed to the
  80. Series 700 FAX software  with the appropriate information (To:, FAX
  81. Number:, etc) andSeries 700 FAX will  automatically send out the FAX.
  82. Incoming FAXes can be viewed on the screen via  the client software,
  83. automatically printed, or forwarded to another FAX  machine.

  85. Third Party Applications Integration
  86.  
  87. Third party application users can easily integrate Series 700 FAX
  88. functionality  by utilizing the printer interface. While using their
  89. application the user  specifies the Series 700 FAX product as the
  90. printer instead of their normal  hardcopy printer. Additional
  91. information is included in the printer  specification that determines
  92. the destination of the FAX. In addition,  applications can start the
  93. Series 700 FAX client from within their application.
